What does the Celebrant do?
My role is to ensure all your legal paperwork is correct and complete. In addition I will assist you to write and arrange a ceremony to suit your needs. The final key task is to solemnise your marriage on your wedding day.
What happens if the wedding is posponed?
The Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) is valid for 18 months and I will reschedule the wedding with you.
Do we have to both sign the NOIM?
Yes, but one person can to visit the me to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage. The other person can sign at a later date prior to marriage.
Do we need to do pre-marriage course?
No. Naturally it is better to fix any issues before you get married but it is not compulsory. Try some of the following available in Brisbane:
